Auditions for Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley

Monday, October 10, 4-6pm and Tuesday, October 11, 5-7pm

Menomonie Theater Guild is thrilled to announce the upcoming auditions for our 2022 holiday show, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley.

A sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Miss Bennet is set two years after that novel ends and continues the story, this time with nerdy middle-sister Mary as the unlikely heroine. Mary is growing tired of her role as the dutiful middle sister in the midst of everyone else’s romantic escapades. When the family gathers for Christmas at Pemberley, an unexpected guest sparks Mary’s hopes for independence, an intellectual match, and possibly even love!

Auditioners should come vocally and physically warmed up, but the readings will be 100% cold. No need to prepare any sides. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

Side note: piano, strings, and/or dance knowledge sought and appreciated! Also, there will be several auxiliary (non-speaking) roles offered. If anyone is looking for a way to start their acting career OR is looking for a low-commitment way to be involved, please come!

Auditions will be held at the MTG building, 502 2nd St W, Menomonie.

Show dates are December 2-4, and 9-11 at the Mabel Tainter Theater.

Audition schedule conflicts or questions may be directed to Anna Mae Tempus at missbennetmtg@gmail.com.
